Good news for male birth control
Science. It's just plain awesome sometimes, and especially when it comes to developing new birth control methods for men. Just seen on Science Alert, there's a condom-free male birth control option in the works. Historically, condoms have been the only reversible male birth control option, with a vasectomy being a far less popular (and irreversible) option. With this new birth control option, an injection called Vasalgel can prevent sperm from leaving the vas deferens, and results can last for 12 months or more. The new option likely won't be available until 2018, but this is a fantastic step in preventing unplanned pregnancies and in more evenly distributing the responsibility of contraception between men and women. Go read the article now and have some (protected) celebratory sex. Hallelujah!
